Manufacturing consulting in Florida

A second set of experienced eyes on your process

Small changes in how a part is designed, fixtured or programmed can make big differences in cost, lead time and scrap. LD Engineered helps manufacturers and machine shops find and make those changes — using the same experience we apply to parts in our own shop.

We work alongside your team, explain the reasoning behind every recommendation, and help put the changes in place.

Our approach

How a consulting project works

  1. Conversation

A call or visit to understand the part, the problem and what success looks like.

  2. Assessment

We review drawings, programs, setups and the process as it runs today.

  3. Recommendations

Clear, prioritized changes with the reasoning and expected impact.

  4. Implementation

Hands-on help with programs, fixtures and prove-out until it runs right.

Related services: we can take on the CAD/CAM programming that comes out of a consulting project, or machine prototypes and bridge-production parts while your process is being set up.

Frequently asked questions

What kind of businesses use production consulting?

Machine shops, small manufacturers and product companies that make or buy machined parts. Typical projects include bringing a new part into production, fixing a quality problem, reducing cycle time or deciding whether to make a part in-house or outsource it.

Do you come to our facility?

Yes, on-site visits are available within our service area around Tampa Bay and the Suncoast. Some work, like design and program reviews, can also be done remotely.

How is consulting billed?

It depends on the project. Smaller tasks can be quoted as a fixed price; ongoing or open-ended work is usually hourly. Call or send a message to talk it through.

Can you help us choose a CNC machine or tooling?

Yes. We can help you define what capabilities you actually need — axes, live tooling, work envelope, workholding — so you invest in equipment that fits your parts.

Have a part, a print, or a production problem?

Send a drawing or model and we’ll get back to you with questions or a quote.
